Trella’s Biodiversity Work Published

Trella grows trees for forests in China. It only uses species native to China. This maintains forest biodiversity and supports the ecosystem. This work has been recognized by in the newly published book: 100+ Biodiversity Practices and Actions Around the World.

The case studies that make up the book were written and gathered in 2021 and 2022 in response to COP15. They showcase the determination and effectiveness of non-state entities around the globe in delivering diverse and successful examples of biodiversity conservation. Most of the work showcased is from China, but not all. Four NGOs, China Environmental Protection Foundation, Paradise International Foundation, Shan Shui Conservation Center, and Global Environmental Institute did the work to solicit case studies and putting the book together. The work they highlight has three broad areas,

1) Reducing threats to biodiversity

2) Addressing people’s needs through sustainable use and benefit sharing

3. Implementing tools and solutions for main streaming projects and solutions

Trella’s work is highlighted in chapter 8, Sustainable Use of Biodiversity. We are proud to be featured in this way. You can find our essay on page 389 of the book (page 406 in the pdf).
