It’s our third spring seedling crop in the Taizhou Super Center greenhouse. We are growing new species this year. Citrus medica, commonly known as Citron is a pretty small evergreen tree with fragrant white flowers and yellow fruit. It holds an important place in traditional Chinese medicine. Each species grows a little different. The Zelkova shown here will soon grow with two stems, a condition we can’t allow because trees used in urban forestry need only one straight stem.
