December 2020. Dormant seedlings overwinter in the greenhouse

Over the winter we clean the greenhouse to prepare it to receive the next crop of seedlings. Greenhouse hygiene is important, so weeds and disease don’t spread from year to year. But it is common to hold some crops in the greenhouse over winter. These are cleaned up to help minimize contamination in the spring. Their bronzed leaves bring an unusual color to the normally bright green greenhouse interior.
