Trella is focused on the quality of our tree’s root systems and the straightness of our stems. To ensure there are no compromises, our seedlings are harvested from their trays in the greenhouse and then sorted. On the conveyor belt we are able to separate them into grades, so when planting the most vigorous trees are together and those needing extra training are together. Grading is a fast and efficient process after all the team members receive training. Now, in October, they are ready for planting out in the field. They will grow for two summers in the field before we dig them up.
